Holiday Indulgence
I’m stuffed! Well, maybe one more serving of ham, pizza pie, pasta, cake or whatever it is. Sound familiar? What about all the overindulgence of food during the holidays? You feel terrible and make a New Year’s resolution of losing weight? We all know how that goes! Maybe a week or two or maybe even a month, then ….. back again with the usual over eating.
Back to shape at 105 lbs
For the past months I have been running/ jogging around our plaza. Thanks to the encouragement of my husband to be determined with my exercise. After my not-so-good blood chemistry result, I was compelled to do vigorous exercise. It’s a blessing in-disguise!
Now I am planning to try the protein shakes for weight loss too! I hope to be back to my shape at 105 lbs.
Healthy Living is my Goal for 2012
I made a couple of goals last 2011 and I’m grateful that I was able to fulfill most of these goals. One of my goals is to live in a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, I was able to fulfill this towards the end of 2011 already. So I’m reviving this goal for 2012 and improve on it even more. I started exercising last year so I’m going to continue using the treadmill and hopefully I can improve by walking/running everyday. These days, I make sure I exercise at least every other day so I’m getting there! I will also continue to drink fresh detox drink every week. This is a way to flush all the toxins that I eat for the entire week.
So far I’ve reached my desired weight already.
Actually I was surprised by the weight loss since I didn’t stop eating over the holidays. We attended a lot of parties last December so I didn’t expect to lose weight. But I guess since I used the treadmill every other day, it really helped a lot. Now, I’m more focused on maintaining it. Not only to look and feel good but also to make sure that my blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid are all normal. The results weren’t good for the past few years already and now I realized that the solution is exercise and healthy diet. I consider myself lucky because it was not too late. I think it’s not too late for you too! If you start living healthy now, I’m definitely sure that you will feel the results very, very soon.

The Biggest Loser
I am a big fan of reality shows like Fear Factor, Survivor, the bachelor, apprentice and amazing grace. From adventure, dating , dancing and singing reality show. Last month, I have been hooked with the local version of THE BIGGEST LOSER. From Day 1 until the end of the show, I was glued on TV. There were times I was not able to see some episode because of travels and other appointments, I made it a point to watch the missed days on you tube ( Thanks to those fans who patiently uploaded each episode on you tube). The show is such an encouragement to those people who have lost motivation in losing weight. The show only proved that nothing is impossible in losing weight. It just take discipline, determination and a proper weight loss program to attain the normal and healthy weight .
What to do when you’re craving for food
This is what I told my wife every time she complains of her increasing weight…
When you are feeling a craving for food coming on …. do something to distract yourself. By getting away from the situation is a great defense of not giving into it. I will often times go with her for a walk, tell her to read a book , surf online and blog. Anything that gets her mind off the food.
But the most effective way to be full without gaining weight is drinking Water. Sometimes we often think we are hungry when the truth is we are thirsty. This helped my wife a lot.
